- Day 0: Arrival in Rome, typically in the A.M. from North America. Relax at the hotel and enjoy the afternoon in the town. A “Meet & Greet” in the late afternoon before our Welcome Dinner.
We strongly suggest arriving 1-2 Days early to explore Rome and adjust to new time zone. - Day 1: After breakfast, we rendezvous with the Blue Strada Miatas a short distance from Rome. Ride from Rome to the coast, where we enjoy a day at the beach with a fish lunch. In the afternoon we drive to Civitavecchia to get to our overnight ferry with private accommodation to Barcelona.
- Day 2: After a relaxing cruise spent sunbathing on the upper deck while sipping a cocktail, we arrive to Barcelona in the late afternoon and we reach our hotel.
- Day 3: A free day to visit Barcelona, the town of the Sagrada Familia. Dinner in a typical local restaurant.
- Day 4: A fast ride through Catalonia leads us to Carcassonne, an enchanting medieval fortified city in Southern France.
- Day 5: A driving day along country roads leads us through the wild region of Camargue. Overnight in the walled town of Aigues-Mortes.
- Day 6: We drive to the Pont du Gard, a stunning Roman bridge (UNESCO heritage site) surrounded by a beautiful park, perfect for a relaxed and easy walk in nature. Then we keep driving across Provence. Overnight in Valensole, in the Haute-Provence, surrounded by blooming lavender fields.
- Day 7: We start to know this wild and fascinating side of the Alps towards our hotel in the walled town of Briançon. Typical “raclette” cheese dinner.
- Day 8: This is a terrific driving day. We drive along the French Alps towards the Iseran Pass, the highest in the Alps at 2770 m, and then the Little St. Bernard Pass, where we enter Italy and head to our hotel in Aosta.
